Viscosity Index Calculator

Viscosity Index describes the rate of viscosity change as a function of temperature and is defined by ASTM D 2270. This method uses the kinematic viscosity at 40°C and 100°C to determine VI. Use the following calculators to determine fluid viscosity or VI. Fluids meeting the MEHF performance definition will have a viscosity index that is greater than 150.

For specific calculations, click below:

Viscosity Index (VI)

- Input the fluid viscosity values at 40°C and 100°C.

Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C

- Input the fluid VI and viscosity value at 40°C.

Kinematic Viscosity @ 40°C

- Input the fluid VI and viscosity value at 100°C.
